Free RPL Suitability Enquiry
Discuss your skills, work history and experience with our team to determine whether RPL may be suitable for you. Eligible applicants are referred to a partnered RTO for enrolment.2
Enrolment & RPL Kit
The partnered RTO enrols you into the qualification or units and provides the RPL assessment kit, evidence guide and submission requirements.3
Evidence Collection & Submission
Gather and submit evidence of your skills and experience — resumes, employment documents, licences, references, work samples and previous training records. We can assist you with organising your evidence.4
Assessment & Review
The RTO assessor reviews your evidence and may conduct a competency conversation, workplace verification, practical assessment or request additional information if required.5
Outcome
The RTO determines the assessment outcome. Where competency requirements are met, the RTO issues the qualification or Statement of Attainment.
Step 2 in Detail
What “Evidence” Actually Looks Like
- Photos of your work — finished jobs, in-progress shots, before-and-after
- Reference letters — from supervisors, employers, or repeat clients
- Payslips or invoices — showing trade work history
- Tickets and white cards — any existing safety or short-course certs
- A short video — demonstrating a skill, if your assessor requests it
Step 3 in Detail
Who Actually Issues The Certificate
Formally Qualified is a third-party student recruitment and marketing/referral provider. The Certificate itself is issued by one of our ASQA-registered partner RTOs.
- Same Certificate as someone who attended 4 years of trade school
- Recognised by employers and licensing bodies in every Australian state
- Counts towards state trade and builder licence applications
- Listed on your Unique Student Identifier (USI) record
- Lifetime credential — does not expire
