Construction Qualifications We Cover

Eight nationally recognised qualifications across the construction trades. Each one delivered via Recognition of Prior Learning through our ASQA-registered partner RTOs.

Why Get Construction-Qualified Through FQ

Most tradies on Australian sites are already doing the work. The piece of paper is the gap between labour-hire day rate and contractor pricing — and for site supervisor and builder roles, it’s the licensing requirement.

  • Move from employee to contractor — required for jobs above state thresholds ($5,000 NSW, $10,000 VIC, $3,300 QLD)
  • Open commercial site work — head contractors require licensed subbies
  • Pathway to a builder licence — Cert IV in Building is the foundation in NSW, VIC, QLD, WA
  • Overseas experience evidence — overseas training or experience may be discussed as supporting evidence, subject to partner RTO requirements. Migration-related skills assessments are handled by authorised bodies.

How Construction RPL Works

You bring evidence of your work — references from licensed tradies, photos of your work, training certs, site documents. Our partner RTO assesses that evidence against the certificate units. Evidence-based RPL enquiry pathway. Certificate issued on completion.
